Kudos

Kudos

Thanks to all of you who took the time to support our football Vikings on Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful day for football and the stands were crowded with parents, students, teachers and alumni. On that morning, the final score of the game did not seem nearly as important as the wonderful crowd filled with Viking spirit. As you know, Monday began the winter sports season. Basketball, Hockey and Wrestling are up and running. Hopefully if you have winter athletes, they will embrace the challenge of passing grades while demonstrating their athletic skills...

Thanks to all of the department heads who have persevered through the budget process. You have done a great job and maintained a collaborative spirit!

Thanks to all of the departments who have embraced the challenge of Common Benchmark Assessments and have experienced their own professional development in the process. As with anything new, the first time can be an uphill trek, but I am sure that it won't appear nearly as challenging in the future.

Congratulations to the Allied Health program on their CNA pinning. We now have 8 new CNA's in the building so we are all in good hands! Congratulations to the teachers and to the students on this significant accomplishment.

Thank-you to all classroom and shop teachers who, in preparation for Open House, have updated their bulletin boards with creative and informative displays.

Did You Know?

Did you know that, in addition to job postings in the teachers room, we now have internal job postings on School Spring? To access this option, visit our website, click on faculty and staff, select job postings. Any questions? Feel free to contact Holly!

The School Council members are preparing a survey for parents and alumni. Do you have questions that you would like them to ask? Topics that you would like to see reflected in a survey for parents and alumni? Your input is welcome! Please contact Annie, Craig, Emily, Matt or me with your ideas.

So...

As we say good-bye to November and embrace the hectic holiday season, it was brought to my attention that I have my own "Elf on a Shelf" in my office. He is larger than most because his is watching out for so many people...and he looks quite a bit like Thor...

Enjoy your week-end,
Margaret
