Welcome to February

Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were completing our Opening Day Forms and now we have passed the mid-point of the year. As a school community, we have been busy! Initiatives, state-mandated and district initiated are underway...some we have embraced, some we have tolerated...some make us cranky... The important thing to note is that each of us, in our own way, has taken at least the first steps on the road...

I don't know about you, but sometimes when I get busy, projects that look less attractive to me fall by the wayside. I'm not sure if any of you fall into that category, but if you do, don't worry, I'm here with some reminders!

Opening Day Forms are now due (and have been for quite a while). If you have not completed your Opening Day Forms (yes, opening day was in September), please immediately make your way to a computer and complete them now.

SMART Goals are now due. Thank-you to everyone who has taken the time to complete your goals. For those of you who have been laboring over just the right wording, please complete your goals and turn them in. You may email or leave a hard copy in the box in the office.

Our next Professional Development Day is scheduled for February 8th. Due to overwhelming demand, the schedule includes one hour and forty-five minutes worth of dedicated department meeting time. Department meetings will begin promptly at 12 o'clock noon. Department meetings will be followed by a full faculty meeting in the Lecture Hall.

February, a month filled with hearts, Mardi Gras, and vacation...so wear red and enjoy!

Margaret
